The UFC announced on Tuesday that former heavyweight champion Brock Lesnar also failed an in-competition drug test taken on July 9th by USADA. As noted, the UFC announced on Friday that Lesnar failed an out-competition drug test on June 28th.
Lesnar failed both tests for the same banned substance, the UFC press release stated. Keep in mind that USADA has yet to reveal the name of the drug that Lesnar test positive for and won’t unless Lesnar makes it public first himself. Lesnar passed three previous tests that were conducted over a nine-day period in mid-June prior to the potential violation. Lesnar defeated Mark Hunt in the co-main event of UFC 200.
Lesnar told the Associated Press in a statement last week that “We will get to the bottom of this.”
