Backstage Report – WWE Interested In ‘Shooters’ Stable For SmackDown

According to sources, WWE is considering putting together a “shooters” stable, similar to the old Varsity Club, on SmackDown. Shelton Benjamin may return to WWE once he heals from rotator cuff surgery, and he would be part of the stable along with Jack Swagger and Dolph Ziggler.
Chad Gable was going to lead a shooters group in NXT, but it was dropped because Vince McMahon wasn’t a fan of the gimmick.
