The original plans for the Sasha Banks vs. Charlotte match at Hell in a Cell were for Sasha Banks to retain the title. The plan was to end Sasha vs. Charlotte feud for now and to move Charlotte into a feud with Bayley.
Vince McMahon was reportedly against the ladies main eventing the show, with reports saying that Triple H and several members of creative were able to change his mind the night before. Vince then changed his mind regarding the result of the match “at the last minute.” Some producers were even confused in regards to the finish, as on Saturday they were told one finish (Sasha retaining) and then it was changed at some point on Sunday to Charlotte winning.
Sasha Banks is not injured. She was kept off RAW to sell the Hell in a Cell match. She worked the WWE live event in Germany last night.
