Why TNA iMPACT! Isn’t Airing Tonight, Santino Note, SD!

— As noted earlier here on the website, TNA iMPACT! is being preempted tonight as Spike TV is airing episodes of Gangland during the program’s regular time slot. While Spike nor TNA Wrestling has acknowledged the reason for the preemption, it is said that network officials made the decision to not air iMPACT! this week because they felt it would be hammered in the ratings by the NFL season opener between the Minnesota Vikings and the New Orleans Saints. TNA Wrestling will instead present the Bound For Glory Kickoff Show on the company’s official website, TNAWrestling.com. Hosted by Jeremy Borash, the webcast will feature a Q & A session with TNA President Dixie Carter where she will answer questions form the fans.

— A SmackDown! brand live event tour is being held today through Sunday in the U.K. Top matches advertised for the tour include Kane vs. Drew McIntyre for the World Heavyweight Championship and Big Show vs. Jack Swagger. The tour’s schedule is as follows:

* Thursday: Aberdeen, Scotland at Aberdeen ECC
* Friday: Aberdeen, Scotland at Aberdeen ECC
* Saturday: Minehead, U.K. at Butlins Resort
* Sunday: Skegness, U.K. at Butlins Resort
