WWE Scraps Ric Flair / John Cena Segment From Royal Rumble

Ric Flair was backstage at the Royal Rumble and WWE originally planned to have him show up in the ring after John Cena’s WWE Championship win to put the belt around John Cena’s waist because of Cena tying Flair’s record of 16 world championship reigns. However, that plan was scrapped, according to PWInsider and WWE decided to shoot something backstage to put up on their social media accounts.

WWE posted a video on their YouTube account interviewing Ric Flair and Flair tweeted out a photo of himself and John Cena, congratulating him on his 16th title reign.
