Shaq seemed to confirm today on his podcast that his WrestleMania match against the Big Show is probably “not gonna happen,” saying only that “it’s not my fault” but also that “it’s not totally off.”
As mentioned, Big Show recently said in an interview on WWE.com that it seemed like Shaq was trying to back out of the match.
Here’s the transcript (starts at around the 23:30 mark if you want to listen):
Host: I have seen an insane amount of reports this week that you vs. the Big Show is actually not gonna happen at WrestleMania.
Shaq: It’s not gonna happen? That’s probably right. It’s not my fault. That’s all you need to know.
Host: Can we confirm or deny this?
Shaq: It ain’t my fault.
Host: You know what people are going to say.
Shaq: It don’t matter what they say. I’m just letting you know. It has nothing to do with the Diesel and his management. That’s all I gotta say. But it’s not totally off yet. But it doesn’t matter. I’m still working out. I still look way better than Big Show. I’ll still meet him wherever he wants. These next 30 days, I’m gonna go hard, so I’m still doing it like it’s going down.
Host: No, it’s not going down, as predicted.
Shaq: I’m just saying, it ain’t me, America.
