WWE did a “post-WrestleMania conference call” today to give an update on WWE Network for shareholders.
They revealed:
– WWE Network has 1,949,000 total subscribers, 1,661,000 of which are paid subscribers. The others are doing free trials currently, which WWE hyped a lot (including offering a lot of 3 month free trials) in order to get the numbers up for the conference call.
– In the United States, WWE Network has 1,452,000 total subscribers, 1,237,000 of which are paid.
– The US subscriber amount is a 11% improvement over the same time last year.
– Internationally, it has 497,000 subscribers, 424,000 of which are paid.
– WWE stock was down 1.67% with the news. They had hoped to announce over 2,000,000 subscribers.
