Lana and Rusev Likely to Be Split; Lana Trying Out New Gimmick in NXT

WWE has been airing promos for Lana’s upcoming debut on SmackDown, in which she has some sort of gimmick where she “dances,” I guess. There’s obviously no sign of Rusev in the promos and according to the Wrestling Observer Newsletter, their act is being broken up. Rusev should be cleared to return from shoulder surgery in about a month or so and he’s also on SmackDown, so we’ll see if they have some interaction or if WWE chooses to just abruptly split them up and drop Lana’s gimmick without any explanation.
