As mentioned yesterday, WWE was no longer advertising that Ember Moon would be part of the planned Fatal 4-Way NXT Women’s Championship match at NXT TakeOver: Chicago on May 20. The match was originally a fatal four way with Asuka vs. Ember Moon vs. Nikki Cross vs. Ruby Riot but will now officially be a triple threat match.
WWE confirmed that Ember Moon is injured, saying she has a “grade one shoulder sprain” and blaming an attack by Asuka (thus furthering their feud) at the #1 contender’s battle royal that aired this past week.
