John Cena posted on Twitter that a “trip back home” to WWE “is long overdue.”
Taking a second to regroup and recharge. Finishing up a wonderfully funny project in Atlanta, then a trip back home is long overdue @WWE
— John Cena (@JohnCena) May 28, 2017
Cena mentioned doing a project in Atlanta. SmackDown Live is in Atlanta this Tuesday, though that doesn’t necessarily mean anything. Cena is currently shooting the movie “The Pact” in Atlanta and the shooting schedule is April 19 – June 9, so it seems like the most likely scenario is that he returns after that date.
Cena is currently being advertised for the July 4 Smackdown in Phoenix, though he could be back before then.
