Baywatch, starring The Rock, brought in $23.0M at the box office over the weekend and $27.6M total including Wednesday and Thursday. It wasn’t expected to be a huge hit, but it had been projected by some to make between $35-$45 million.
The highest grossing movie of the weekend was “Pirates of the Caribbean: Dead Men Tell No Tales” at $77.0M. “Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2” was #2 with $25.2M and Baywatch was #3.
Baywatch’s budget was about $69 million. It’s also been getting bad reviews.
