Tuesday’s 4th of July SmackDown brought in 2.329 million viewers, down from last week’s 2.603 million. The main focus of the show was both the return of “free agent” John Cena and the Independence Day Battle Royale to determine the #1 contender for the US Championship.
SmackDown was ranked first in cable rankings for total viewers and first for the 18-49 demographic for the night.
This week’s episode was higher than the same week last year (July 7, 2016), which had 2.241 million viewers.
