PROGRESS’ first ever event in New York City last night was reported to have been plagued with several serious and legal problems.
In regards to the audience, it was reported around 1500 fans were in attendance at the Elmcor Youth Center which was well above the legal limit allowed by New York fire safety and building code laws. Besides over-crowding, the Center’s air conditioning malfunctioned resulting in several fans passing out due to heat exhaustion. Making things worse for PROGRESS was fan reports about the lack of EMTs and medics on site to treat potential emergencies.
In regards to the wrestlers, TK Cooper was reported to have suffered dislocated ankle injury during the British Strong Style (Tyler Bate & Trent Seven) versus South Pacific Power Trip (Travis Banks & T.K Cooper) tag team match. After the event, Trent Seven revealed on Twitter several wrestlers were stranded in New York due to lack of transportation provided by PROGRESS officials.
