Ric Flair remains hospitalized in critical condition in Atlanta following surgery on Monday.
It was originally reported that he underwent colon surgery, based on a Facebook post by Mean Gene Okerlund. However, the surgery was actually on his bowels, according to PWInsider. There was a “massive obstruction” caused by several (un-named) health issues that Flair has. The obstruction caused his kidneys to fail and he is currently undergoing dialysis.
PWInsider is reporting that the situation was “extremely bad” a few days ago, but the outlook is now “better.” However, he is still in critical condition, which is described by the American Hospital Association as: “Vital signs are unstable and not within normal limits. Patient may be unconscious. Indicators are unfavorable.”
PWInsider says that Flair is expected to need at least one more surgery in the weeks to come and will likely remain hospitalized for a while.
