As of today, August 17, Asuka has become the longest reigning women’s champion in modern WWE history (when the WWF began expanding nationally in the early/mid-80s). She has held the NXT Women’s Championship for 503 days, surpassing Rockin’ Robin’s 502 days as WWF Women’s Champion.
However, back in WWE’s pre-national days, The Fabulous Moolah held the NWA World Women’s Championship for what WWE recognizes as 10,170 days (1956-1984). Here’s Wikipedia’s “List of WWE Women’s Champions.”
Asuka also has the longest reign of any WWE title other than the long title reigns of the 1980s and prior by Hulk Hogan, Bob Backlund, Bruno Sammartino and Pedro Morales.
Congratulations and good luck to @WWEAsuka on her incredible streak as @WWENXT Women's Champion. We'll be … https://t.co/q3t9PX0jGD
