The idea of a Hulk Hogan return is being “revisited” by WWE, according to the Wrestling Observer Newsletter. However, the idea has also come up in the past, with it coming down to whether or not WWE feels that there would be media backlash against it.
WWE has been using the Ultimate Warrior’s name a lot recently, despite his past comments being arguably worse than Hogan’s. However, the feeling is that Hogan is a more mainstream name and the attention on him is magnified.
The Wrestling Observer also says that Hogan was in talks for a return to wrestling recently with another un-named company, for an angle that Dave Meltzer says “would have been huge.” He did not specify the promotion or anything else about the angle, but said that in the end, it fell through because it wouldn’t have made economic sense and there was a chance that it was never going to happen anyway and Hogan may have just been angling to get WWE to bring him back.
