Both Christopher Daniels and Frankie Kazarian are reported to have suffered injuries during last weekend’s Ring of Honor’s Survival of the Fittest events, according to the Wrestling Observer.
Kazarian suffered an injury at Friday’s show in San Antonio, Texas after landing badly from the Young Bucks’ spiked piledriver called the Indytaker. The injury occurred during the Five-on-Four tag team match featuring the Bullet Club (Cody, Kenny Omega, Matt Jackson, Nick Jackson, & Stephen Amell) facing off against The Addiction (Christopher Daniels & Frankie Kazarian), Flip Gordon, & Scorpio Sky. While ROH did not believe the injury to be serious, he was pulled from the rest of the weekend’s shows as a precaution.
Daniels suffered mild burns at Saturday’s show in Dallas, Texas after being powerbombed through a flaming table by Cody during the Texas Death Match for the ROH World Championship. Unlike Kazarian, Daniels was able to wrestle on Sunday’s show against Dalton Castle. On Monday, Daniels responded on Twitter to negative comments regarding the table spot stating he didn’t agree with criticisms that were moronic nor did he harm his career’s length because of the spot.
When people criticize me or my decisions with moronic comments (not valid critique), I fight the urge to draw attention to a vocal minority of fans, but I will say this: 1) Our business is up, 2) My paychecks are fine, & 3) My career won't be 1 day shorter. NOT. ONE. DAY.
