Impact Upset About Rockstar Spud

Rockstar Spud is expected to debut in WWE as early as next week as part of the Cruiserweight division.

According to the Wrestling Observer Newsletter, people in Impact were not happy about his departure because they spent “significant money” to get his work visa situation taken care of (he is a UK citizen) and he ultimately decided to leave to take an offer from WWE.

More Raw and SmackDown in Same Venue

WWE will likely do more Raw and SmackDown shows at the same venue in 2018, according to the Wrestling Observer Newsletter.

For example, the February 20 and 21 Raw and SmackDown shows will be in the same building in Phoenix.

A downside of this for WWE (but an upside for fans) is that they would have to reduce ticket prices in order to fill up both shows, but it’s being said that a priority is to get larger crowds for the TV shows.

WWE would also save money in production because they would only need to set everything up at one venue instead of two separate ones, and it would cut down on travel costs for everyone on the staff.

Total Divas Viewers

Wednesday’s Total Divas on E! drew 510,000 viewers, down from last week’s 562,000.
