Big Mike is back from Japan and has decided that he needs to say one more thing on the situation that he protected an abuser and had a sexual relationship with the accuser. This is a situation that has been on-going since December 2017 when Elgin sold his promotion Glory Pro and fired the alleged abuser Sean Orleans over the original accusations. That story also has Michael Elgin’s first “final statement” on the issue, while the one released on Sunday is below:
I'd like to make a final statement about everything that has occurred. pic.twitter.com/j6bak6xAld

Elgin’s statement apologises for not knowing how to handle the situation and for the delay in issuing anything as well as sexual messaging outside of his marriage, but immediately the original accuser, Moses Malone, hit back calling it all lies:
Oh look, I'm unblocked.
First of all…
You know that this is 95% lies.
Own up to what you put me through. What you put other women through. Truly own up to it.You break my fucking heart every time you lie. And I'm sitting here in a million pieces, completely helpless.

You want to keep doing this?
This isn't genuine. This isn't real. This is more lies. pic.twitter.com/4LUpyeIEDr— Moses Malone (@Th_BodyElectric) January 7, 2018
The messages in the text do seem to somewhat disprove at least some of Elgin’s apology statement. Since the original breaking of this story, Elgin was pulled from several indie bookings and his messages also talked about how his NJPW World Tag League partner Jeff Cobb wasn’t in the same league as him and smelled bad. Elgin’s NJPW contract situation is currently unknown, but when last asked about the situation back in December, New Japan responded saying that his contract was due to expire shortly after the start of the next tour. We’ll likely find out if he still is in NJPW after the New Beginning tour later in February.
