Matt Hardy now officially owns several “Broken” trademarks, according to the USPTO website.
He’s listed as the owner of:
Broken Matt Hardy
Broken Matt
Brother Nero
Vanguard1
Broken Brilliance
Impact reportedly had until January 28 to file for opposition against the trademark claims, but they have not because Matt Hardy and Impact’s Ed Nordholm came to an agreement (on January 8, according to PWInsider) where Impact relinquished any claim to those trademarks. Impact also announced last month that they will allow all their wrestlers to keep control of their names and characters upon leaving the company.
Matt Hardy teased last week that he may return to his “Broken” roots, possibly switching back to “Broken Matt Hardy” instead of “Woken Matt Hardy.”
Reby Hardy tweeted this:
TMs I filed last year are officially safe. Glad that's over. I promised I'd always fight for you & I did. Always will. Congrats, #BROKEN @MATTHARDYBRAND
