NXT Tag Team Champion Bobby Fish underwent knee surgery Thursday for a torn ACL and MCL in his left knee that he suffered at an NXT house show Sunday night. He’s expected to be out for six months, according to Dave Meltzer.
NXT spoilers ahead.
At Wednesday night’s NXT tapings, it was announced that there will be a triple threat match for the NXT Tag Team Championship at TakeOver: New Orleans. The Undisputed Era vs. The Authors of Pain vs. Pete Dunne & Roderick Strong.
Since Fish won’t be able to compete, the expectation is that Adam Cole will replace him in the tag team match, though that hasn’t been announced yet.
Adam Cole is also booked in another match that night, which is a six way ladder match for the new NXT North American Championship. It’ll be Adam Cole vs. EC3 vs. Killian Dain vs. Lars Sullivan vs. Ricochet vs. Velveteen Dream.
