WWE announced that the upcoming “Greatest Royal Rumble” event in Jeddah, Saudi Arabia on Friday, April 27 will have seven championship matches, including the WWE Championship, Universal Championship, Intercontinental Championship, United States Championship, Raw Tag Team Championship, SmackDown Tag Team Championship and Cruiserweight Championship. Notably missing are the women’s championships, since women will not be allowed to wrestle in the ultra-conservative extremely repressive absolute monarchy.
The seven title matches are in addition to a 50-man Royal Rumble match.
WWE announced “John Cena, Triple H, Roman Reigns, AJ Styles, Braun Strowman, The New Day, Randy Orton, Bray Wyatt and Shinsuke Nakamura, among others” for the show. Names like Chris Jericho and The Undertaker have also been rumored.
WWE hasn’t announced if it’ll air on WWE Network yet, but Roman Reigns hinted last week that he “believes” it’s going to be a “huge network special.”
