Daniel Bryan is “free and clear” to wrestle as much as he and WWE want after being medically cleared by WWE, according to the Dave Meltzer of the Wrestling Observer.
There’s no word on if Bryan will be working a full-time schedule, Meltzer says, but Bryan previously expressed the desire to work fewer dates if he ever wrestled elsewhere. He said he would like to work around 60 dates a year instead of around 200 dates in a full WWE schedule.
Bryan’s WWE contract expires towards the end of September and it’s now much more likely, but not guaranteed, that he will stay with WWE, Meltzer says. Bryan had been rumored to be very serious about wanting to wrestle elsewhere once his WWE contract expired if WWE doctors wouldn’t clear him.
Bryan has now been tested more than any WWE wrestler and his brain functions are well above normal for his age.
The rumored match at WrestleMania is Daniel Bryan and Shane McMahon vs. Kevin Owens and Sami Zayn and WWE seemed to make that much more clear tonight on SmackDown with Bryan “firing” Owens and Zayn, then being attacked by them.
