The SmackDown Live on the Tuesday after WrestleMania is being advertised on the venue’s website as having a “double main event.”
Interestingly, one of the matches is listed as Charlotte Flair vs. Carmella for the SmackDown Women’s Championship (the other is Styles vs. Nakamura).
Obviously, that doesn’t necessarily mean anything and it could change, but it could also mean that we may see Carmella finally cash in her Money in the Bank briefcase at WrestleMania and win the title from Charlotte. She has been trying to cash in for the past few weeks, so WWE seems to be leading up to something with all the teases.
Also, if Carmella cashes in during the Charlotte vs. Asuka match and wins the title from Charlotte, it would be a way for WWE to keep Asuka’s undefeated streak alive without putting the title on her yet. It could also just mean that Carmella will cost Charlotte the match to Asuka then end up feuding with Charlotte after WrestleMania and the Charlotte vs. Carmella SmackDown match will not be for the title.
