Real1, formerly known as Enzo Amore in the WWE, just released his new rap track “Phoenix” to massive buzz. Join Steve as they reflect on Real1’s career with the WWE, what he’s been up to as of late and his plans for the future.
Here’s some of what he talked about, via thenewsroom99 on Reddit:
Enzo Amore speaks to Stone Cold about what happened at Raw 25
Apparently, Enzo was to be involved in the APA’s poker game. At the beginning of the show, he would lose his Cruiserweight title to The Million Dollar Man when he put it on the table expecting to win the hand (being the cocky heel). He was then to have a match with Goldust (without his title). At the end of the match, The Dudley Boyz were come down and do the flying headbutt and put Enzo through a table. After all this, Nia Jax was going to win back his title from The Million Dollar Man near the end of the show which would have continued their storyline.
Enzo says he only found out about the tweet around 5 pm during rehearsals with the APA and the legends. He says he called Mark Corono and they met with a WWE lawyer and a PR guy after contacting his lawyer.
The decision to pull Enzo was made by Vince given the seriousness of the allegations. Vince told Enzo to “go home.” The show was re-written around 5:30 pm to remove Enzo and fill/replace his segments.
Enzo also goes on to talk about the night of the concert and how it all went down.
