Rich Swann won’t be able to wrestle in his scheduled match tonight at Impact’s Slammiversary PPV because of a concussion that he suffered on Thursday night.
During a match for Major League Wrestling in Long Island with Swann and ACH facing Davey Boy Smith Jr. and Teddy Hart, Swann hit his head badly on a guardrail, according to Dave Meltzer. He was taken to a hospital that night with a bad concussion and was released the same night.
Swann was scheduled for a four way match tonight at the PPV against Johnny Impact, Rey Fenix and Taiji Ishimori. According to PWInsider, as of yesterday, the plan was to replace Swann with Petey Williams.
Swann is currently at home in Florida recovering from the injury.
