CM Punk was interviewed on Ariel Helwani’s MMA Show and talked about still not being interested in returning to wrestling, and said that he wasn’t made an actual offer to appear at All In.
Here are a few highlights from the interview:
Ariel Helwani: “Were you ever approached about All In?”
CM Punk: “No, I was never made like, an offer to be there. They said, ‘hey, if you wanna come, you should come.’ And I was like, ‘oh, OK…’ It was extremely vague. It wasn’t an offer.”
AH: “So they never came back to you after that?”
CM: “No.”
AH: “I’m assuming you couldn’t have done it anyway because of shooting your movie (“Rabid”).”
CM: “Yeah, I’ve been super busy. And that was a shoot day anyway.”
AH: “Is the door a little more open to wrestling now?”
CM: “Uh… no, because to me, that’s like an escape hatch. I’ve got Beastmaster on Netflix, season 3, and we’re crossing our fingers we’re gonna move forward and do season 4. And aside from all the stuff I can talk to you about, there’s all the secret stuff that I’m not allowed to talk about that I’m doing too. It’s not even a matter of not going to wrestling because I’m busy doing other stuff. There’s just nothing that interests me in wrestling. So there’s your headline.”
AH: “Has anyone offered you anything since the fight in June? Any international promotions or other ones?”
CM: “No. I haven’t heard from them. I’m a hard guy to get a hold of. I’m insulated by many levels of people that I trust.”
