SmackDown was #2 on cable for the night in the 18-49 demographic, behind an MLB Wild Card game between the Rockies and Cubs on ESPN (6,332,000).
This time last year, the October 3, 2017 episode of SmackDown Live drew 2,323,000 viewers. The October 4, 2016 episode drew 2,316,000 viewers.
