There were two new champions crowned at tonight’s NWA 70th Anniversary show in Nashville, TN.
Nick Aldis defeated Cody Rhodes to recapture the NWA Worlds Heavyweight Championship and Willie Mack defeated Sam Shaw to become the new NWA National Heavyweight Champion.
Worlds Heavyweight Championship
Aldis defeated Cody in a two out of three falls match, recapturing the title that he lost last month at All In.
Aldis won the first fall with a Texas Cloverleaf submission, Cody won the second fall with a Cross Rhodes, and Aldis won the third fall with a small package.

National Heavyweight Championship
Willie Mack won the National Heavyweight Championship in a mini eight man tournament. There were two four man elimination matches, and the winners faced each other for the title.
In the first four-way match, Sam Shaw defeated Colt Cabana, Sammy Guevara, and Scorpio Sky and in the second match, Willie Mack defeated Jay Bradley, Ricky Starks, and Mike Parrow.
Mack then defeated Sam Shaw in a singles match via a stunner to become the new champ.
