At tonight’s MLW Fusion TV tapings in Chicago, Joey Ryan said that he has a torn pectoral muscle and there’s “probably a pretty good chance” that he will need surgery.
Ryan was scheduled to team with Swoggle to take on the Dirty Blondes when Ryan came out with his left arm in a sling. He said that he thinks he tore his pec the night before at a show in Austin, but he hasn’t seen a doctor yet. He said that he promised Swoggle that he’d team with him and he wasn’t going to miss a Chicago show for anything, so he still wrestled with his arm in a sling for the whole match, and he and Swoggle won.
After the match, he removed the sling to reveal a bruised left bicep, then said, “This looks pretty bad… Doesn’t look great, lot of swelling. At least I still have my dick. But there’s probably a pretty good chance I’m gonna need surgery. So, if I have to take any length of time off, I’m so happy that I got to wrestle in Chicago one more time. That wasn’t a cheap pop, I really do love Chicago.”
Had a blast teaming with @wwehornswoggle tonight in Chicago but it’s true; I tore my pec (heard it’s going around) last night in Austin. Unfortunately, I need to pull off @pro_after & @SouthsideWE for the rest of the weekend so I can see my doctor & figure out the severity of it. pic.twitter.com/B0fo8IZL1V
