During last night’s SmackDown main event, there was a scary spot at the end of the match where Mustafa Ali’s knees landed right on Daniel Bryan’s neck, chest and ribs while hitting his 054 (inverted 450).
After landing and pinning Bryan, Mustafa Ali could be heard saying, “Sorry, Bryan.”
Daniel Bryan was checked on by a doctor after the match, who walked with him backstage. But Daniel Bryan appeared to be OK and just a few minutes later, came out for a segment at the SmackDown tapings for next week.
According to Fightful, Bryan was adamant backstage after the match that he was OK, with lots of people around concerned for his well-being. Mustafa Ali also continued to be apologetic backstage.
This is what happened. Mustafa Ali hits Daniel Bryan with the knee up high.
