AJ Styles will be facing Daniel Bryan for the WWE Championship at the Royal Rumble.
AJ Styles won the title shot at Saturday night’s SmackDown tapings, which will air this Tuesday. Styles won a fatal 5-way match to determine the #1 contender for the WWE title, beating Mustafa Ali, Randy Orton, Rey Mysterio & Samoa Joe. Styles pinned Orton for the win with a springboard 450 splash.
Also at the 205 Live tapings, two wrestlers qualified for the Fatal 4-Way Cruiserweight title match at the Royal Rumble. In qualifying matches, Kalisto defeated Lio Rush and Akira Tozawa defeated Drew Gulak. The fourth and final wrestler will be determined next week when Cedric Alexander faces Hideo Itami.
