Jimmy Uso was arrested after an altercation with cops in Detroit, according to TMZ. They didn’t specify when exactly the arrest happened, but it was apparently recently.
TMZ says that Naomi was in the driver’s seat with her husband Jimmy and was pulled over for driving the wrong way down a one way street. Police claim that they smelled alcohol, so they ordered Naomi out of the car and started to “talk” to her. Something they did then led to Jimmy getting angry and cops claim that he got out of the car, took off his shirt and “squared up like he wanted to fight.” A cop then threatened to attack him with a taser and Jimmy calmed down, but cops decided to handcuff him and arrest him for “disorderly conduct and obstruction,” TMZ says.
He was taken to jail and posted bond, so he’s out now.
The Usos are scheduled to face Shane McMahon and The Miz for the SmackDown tag titles this Sunday at Elimination Chamber.
Judging from how WWE reacted to past incidents, it doesn’t seem likely that anything will come of this, nor should it. Jey Uso was arrested for a DWI in 2018 and at the time, WWE released a good statement simply saying, “Joshua Fatu is responsible for his own personal actions.”
Update: WWE released this statement: “Jonathan Fatu is responsible for his own personal actions.”
