As noted before, Charlotte Flair’s ex-husband Riki Paul Johnson filed a lawsuit against Charlotte, Ric Flair, WWE, and author Brian Shields in regards to allegations of defamation made against him in Charlotte’s biographical book Second Nature. In January of this year, a U.S. District Court issued a set of response dates to both Johnson and all the defendants involved in this lawsuit.
In an update to Charlotte’s lawsuit status, PWInsider’s Mike Johnson reported that the United States District Court, Western District of North Carolina granted a time extension to both Ric Flair and Brian Shields on March 14th. It was reported that both will now have until March 28th to officially respond to the defamation lawsuit filed against them.
It was also reported that an extension was also granted to Riki Paul Johnson on March 15th. Johnson will now have until March 22nd to file an amended lawsuit to the court, which would then legally reset the clock for all of the defendants to officially respond to this newly amended lawsuit.
