WWE Network Hidden Gems Addition
This week’s addition to WWE Network’s Hidden Gems series is WWE Hall of Fame themed, featuring seven classic matches.
The first gem is from a February 4, 1983 event from Stampede Wrestling featuring a six-man tag team match of Honky Tonk Wayne (Honky Tonk Man), David Schultz, & Davey Boy Smith vs. Duke Myers, Kerry Brown, & Mike Miller.
Stampede Wrestling 02/04/1983 – Up North to Down South
Before becoming the greatest Intercontinental Champion ever, Honky Tonk Wayne teamed with David Schultz and Davey Boy Smith in Stampede.
The second gem is from an August 11, 1992 event from Global Wrestling Federation featuring a tag team match of The Ebony Express (Harlem Heat) vs. John Tatum & Rod Price.
GWF 08/11/1992 – Experience the Heat
Prior to dominating the WCW tag team landscape as Harlem Heat, The Ebony Experience battle John Tatum and Rod Price in this GWF bout.
The third gem is from an April 6, 1993 episode of WWF Superstars featuring a dark match of The Lightning Kid (X-Pac) vs. Louie Spicolli.
WWF Superstars Taping 04/06/1993 – Lightning in a Bottle (Dark Match)
Before he became known as X-Pac, The Lightning Kid looked to score the 1-2-3 over Louie Spicolli in this rarely seen contest.
The fourth gem is from an August 16, 1994 episode of WWF Wrestling Challenge featuring a dark match of Brian Armstrong (Road Dogg) vs. Barry Hardy.
WWF Wrestling Challenge Taping 08/16/1994 – Blessed be the Road (Dark Match)
Before gaining notoriety as the Road Dogg, Brian Armstrong looked to shake off the curse when he faced Barry Hardy from WWE Challenge.
The fifth gem is from a November 14, 1994 episode of WCW Pro featuring a singles match of Jean-Paul Levesque (Triple H) vs. Brian Armstrong.
WCW Pro 11/14/1994 – The Pedigree of Degenerates
DX founding fathers collide in this match from WCW when the aristocratic blue blood Jean-Paul Levesque goes one-on-one with Brian Armstrong.
The sixth gem is from a March 10, 1996 episode of WWF Superstars featuring a dark match of Shawn Michaels vs. Stone Cold Steve Austin.
WWF Superstars Taping 03/10/1996 – A Stone Cold Heartbreak (Dark Match)
WWE Hall of Famers collide when Shawn Michaels takes on Stone Cold Steve Austin in the heart of their home state of Texas.
The seventh and final gem is from a May 24, 2003 event from Ohio Valley Wrestling featuring a singles match of “The One” Billy Gunn vs. Mark Jindrak.

Billy Gunn has a few tricks up his sleeve as he looks to even the odds against Mark Jindrak in this contest from OVW.
