Shinsuke Nakamura Comments on KUSHIDA Leaving NJPW to Join WWE

Miami Herald and WrestlingInc.com contributor Scott Fishman held a recent interview with Shinsuke Nakamura and one of the topics discussed included his thoughts on KUSHIDA leaving NJPW to join WWE.

“Kushida joining NXT is huge for WWE. Experienced wrestlers around the world have options where they wrestle. He chooses WWE/NXT, that’s big for us and him.”

Brian Christopher Lawler’s Death Update

As noted before, Brian Christopher Lawler, son of Jerry “The King” Lawler, passed away last year due to hanging himself in a jail cell in Bolivar, Tennessee. While the official cause of death was ruled to be a suicide, Jerry Lawler has doubted that to be the actual reason due to his issues with the circumstances surrounding his son’s death.

In an update to Brian Christopher’s passing, PWInsider’s Mike Johnson reported that the Tennessee Bureau of Investigation recently concluded their investigation in the death of Brian Christopher and have passed all of their findings to Tennessee District Attorney General Mark Davidson. Johnson also reported that it is currently not known if the findings of this investigation will ever be made public.

Gursinder Singh announced that he has recently requested his release from Impact Wrestling due to him wanting to go in a new direction for his career.

Game Changer Wrestling announced that KENTA (Hideo Itami in WWE) will be making an appearance for the company at their June 4th Tournament of Survival 4 event in Atlantic City, New Jersey.

Over The Top Wrestling announced that Darby Allin will be making an appearance for the company at their June 23rd WrestleRama 3 event in Dublin, Ireland.

ROH announced two new matches for the cards of their ROH-NJPW War of the Worlds 2019 tour from May 8th to May 12th:
– War of the Worlds 2019: Buffalo (May 8th in Buffalo, New York) – ROH World Tag Team Championship – Jay Lethal & Jonathan Gresham vs. Guerrillas of Destiny (Tama Tonga & Tanga Loa) (c)
– War of the Worlds 2019: Toronto (May 9th in Toronto, Canada) – ROH World Championship – PCO vs. Matt Taven (c)
