Michael Elgin made his Impact Wrestling debut last night at the Impact Rebellion PPV, coming down the aisle and getting in Brian Cage’s face in the ring after Cage won the Impact World Championship from Johnny Impact. Elgin then attacked Cage and gave him an Elgin Bomb, then posed with the title.

Elgin has signed a contract with Impact and will be with them full time going forward, according to Dave Meltzer, and obviously appears to be in the World title picture already.
Elgin has predominantly wrestled for New Japan Pro Wrestling since 2015, where he was a former IWGP Intercontinental Champion, NEVER Openweight Champion and NEVER Openweight 6-Man Tag Team Champion. He’s also a former ROH World Champion, beating Adam Cole for the title in 2014.
Elgin and Cage also were former PWG World Tag Team Champions in 2013.
Elgin’s NJPW contract expired on April 1.
