Lio Rush was backstage at Raw last night, according to PWInsider, but was not on TV. Bobby Lashley came out for a Miz TV segment and match, but Rush was nowhere to be seen.
There have been a lot of rumors of backstage heat on Rush recently.
There has been talk within WWE that Rush may be moved to NXT in the near future, PWInsider says. That might actually end up being good for Rush since it would maybe allow him to showcase some of his massive talent instead of just being put in a lackey role on Raw.
PWInsider added another story to the list of things that allegedly have brought “backstage heat” on Rush. They say that in November 2018 during a WWE European tour, Rush blew off “what has long been considered standard backstage etiquette” where the “junior member” of the roster would give water to wrestlers when they returned backstage from the ring, and would do other menial jobs like carrying coolers and drinks to the roster’s hotels. Rush was apparently the “junior member” on the tour, so it was “supposed to be” his job. Lots of “veterans” explained to Rush that he was making a mistake, but Rush blew them off and complained to WWE management. The whole thing seems extremely stupid to me and like some sort of dumb frat hazing, but whatever…
