WWE SmackDown Listed as 2-Hour Show on FOX

WWE’s SmackDown Live apparently will be remaining as a weekly two-hour show when it moves to FOX in October.

Fightful’s Andrew Thompson reported that FOX released their entire 2019-2020 Fall prime time schedule yesterday and SmackDown was listed to be airing from 8PM ET to 10PM ET on Fridays.

Prior to yesterday’s reveal, there had been on-going rumors of the possibility of SmackDown being extended to a third hour when it moves to FOX in October. WWE reportedly had attempted to shop around an extra hour of weekly programming on Tuesdays, currently occupied by 205 Live, to FOX and other interested networks.

It should be noted that though the show will remain two hours on the FOX broadcast channel, there have also been rumors that a third hour could eventually air on FOX Sports 1, FOX’s cable sports channel.
