Mickie James confirmed today that she has a knee injury that will require surgery and she’ll be out for “a while.”
In a video on Instagram Live, James said, “It is my ACL, which stinks. I had that confirmed. I had an MRI done here in Nashville. I don’t know how long I’m gonna be out. I don’t know when I’m gonna have to get surgery. But it’s gonna be a while.”
She suffered the injury during a house show match against Carmella on Saturday night in Waco, TX. According to people in attendance, James hurt her knee and the match was abruptly stopped by a referee and Carmella was awarded the win.
James will still be performing at the CMA Fest in Nashville on Friday.
