The likely debut date of AEW’s TV show will be Wednesday, October 2, according to the Wrestling Observer Newsletter. That would mean that SmackDown would debut on FOX on the same week, two days later on Friday, October 4.
A final decision about whether to air on Tuesdays or Wednesdays hasn’t been made yet by TNT, but it’s 95% probably going to be Wednesday, according to Dave Meltzer, who also said that Wednesday has been the favorite to be the day for months now and “is pretty much the day unless something changes.”
On June 18, AEW applied to trademark “Wednesday Night Dynamite.”
8-10 PM ET is currently the most likely time slot, Meltzer added.
