Mickie James underwent successful surgery on her torn right ACL today in Birmingham, AL.
UPDATE: Surgery was a complete success. I'm sure when she's feeling up to it she'll share more. Thank you all! 🙌 https://t.co/RxCHyko2UQ

The injury happened during a house show match against Carmella on June 1 in Waco, TX.
She’s expected to be out for another seven to nine months.
Interestingly, she tweeted, “if I come back, I’m coming back bionic!”
Thank you all for your love, prayers, and well wishes. I am grateful! I’ll be just fine… if I come back… I’m coming back bionic! 😘

James returned to WWE in October 2016. At the time, lots of WWE contracts were signed for three years, so if we assume that her deal is for three years, it would expire before she’s ready to return. WWE could also freeze her contract because of the injury if they choose.
