A new WWE draft will take place on Raw and SmackDown next month, which will lead to a stricter roster split and talent “exclusivity” on each brand, according to Dave Meltzer.
The draft will take place on SmackDown on Friday, October 11 and on Raw on Monday, October 14.
The SmackDown draft will be on SmackDown’s second show on FOX. The first show on October 4 will be a “20th Anniversary” show, featuring WWE legends. Already announced for that show: Kurt Angle, Lita, Mick Foley, Booker T, Hulk Hogan, Trish Stratus, Goldberg, Jerry “The King” Lawler, Mark Henry, Ric Flair and Sting.
The last full-blown WWE draft was in 2016 with the return of the brand split. Since then, WWE has done “Superstar Shake-ups” for three years in a row after WrestleMania.
