The debut episode of Friday Night SmackDown on FOX drew an average of 3,869,000 viewers.
That helped FOX come in at #2 on the night among broadcast networks, behind CBS.
SmackDown averaged a 1.3 rating in the 18-49 demographic.
Industry predictions expected SmackDown’s debut to be in the 4-4.5 million range, according to Dave Meltzer.
The final SmackDown on USA Network last week drew 2,099,000 viewers.
