Women’s WarGames Match Announced for NXT TakeOver: WarGames

On tonight’s NXT episode, it was announced that there will be an all-woman WarGames match at NXT TakeOver: WarGames, which will take place on November 23 at the Allstate Arena in Rosemont, IL.

William Regal announced the match after a nine woman brawl broke out on the show.

The teams weren’t officially announced yet, but the five wrestlers on the heel side of the brawl were Shayna Baszler, Marina Shafir, Jessamyn Duke, Bianca Belair and Io Shirai. And on the face side were Tegan Nox, Dakota Kai, Rhea Ripley and Candice LeRae. That would make it 5 on 4, but CBS Sports noted that Mia Yim could be the fifth person on the face team.

Cathy Kelley announced later in the show that Shayna Baszler and Rhea Ripley were named team captains.
