AJ Styles suffered a left arm injury after taking a spear from Edge during the Royal Rumble match tonight.
After Edge’s surprise entrance in the match, he squared off with AJ Styles and hit him with a spear, turning him upside down, with Styles landing awkwardly on his left shoulder.
Styles seemed to be favoring his arm and was then seen talking to several officials for a couple of minutes in the corner. He then got up and went to talk to Edge, and Edge then grabbed him and tossed him over the top to eliminate him.
AJ Styles is hurt. Here is a slow-mo of the spear he took from Edge. Came down hard on the left shoulder. Couldn’t move it at all after and he just had Edge throw him out. Looks to be really injured. #RoyalRumble pic.twitter.com/FT1MFEHc6V

Styles was immediately examined when he returned to the backstage area and had his arm wrapped up and was icing it, PWInsider is reporting.
He will be undergoing more tests to determine the severity of the injury and if it will force him to miss any time.
Update: Styles suffered a shoulder separation, according to Dave Meltzer, but the severity is still not known as of now.
