Along with their announcement earlier this week about moving WrestleMania to the Performance Center, WWE also said that the Hall of Fame ceremony, originally set for April 2, would “not take place as previously scheduled.”
“The WWE Hall of Fame Ceremony and NXT TakeOver will not take place as previously scheduled. We will share further details as they become available,” WWE’s statement said.
Georgia Smith, daughter of The British Bulldog Davey Boy Smith, who is part of this year’s Hall of Fame class, said that she has spoken to WWE and has been told that the Hall of Fame ceremony will take place at a later date – hopefully around SummerSlam.
SummerSlam is scheduled for August 23 in Boston, MA at the TD Garden.
Just a heads up! I have spoken with @WWE and they are postponing the Hall of Fame for a later date, and are hoping to do it for Summerslam (which would be appropriate for my dad) thanks again for all your support! Let’s all stay safe out there🇬🇧 pic.twitter.com/iuXwRWJ4iL
