— WWE’s new “Tough Enough” reality series cast is scheduled to be brought to Atlanta for Wrestlemania 27 and introduced at either Wrestlemania or Monday Night RAW the next night to help hype the debut of the show on April 4 at 11:00 p.m. ET (10:00 CT).
— WWE Studios’ “The Chaperone” starring Triple H will have a small theatrical release the weekend of February 18 to February 20 and will then be released on DVD/Blu-ray on March 8.
— WWE will release a new DX DVD in April featuring new interviews with Shawn Michaels and Triple H.
— According to Phil Strum of The Poughkeepsie Journal, Saturday night’s Northeast Wrestling event in Poughkeepsie, NY drew one of the largest indy crowds of the year with a sold out show of 1,700 fans at the Civic Center (something TNA has never achieved running the same arena). Those appearing on the card included Jerry “The King” Lawler, MVP, Matt Hardy, Tommy Dreamer, Sgt. Slaughter and Shane “Hurricane” Helms. NEW has always drawn a huge sell-out crowd in Poughkeepsie. That market is hot for pro wrestling and has been since ECW ran events there in the 90’s.
