AEW Dynamite will be returning for more frequent live tapings on Wednesday, May 6 at Daily’s Place in Jacksonville, FL, according to Dave Meltzer.
The May 6 episode will be live, and another show will be taped on the 6th, which will air the following week. The May 20 episode will also be live.
That will lead up to AEW’s Double or Nothing PPV on Saturday, May 23, which will also take place at Daily’s Place in Jacksonville. It was originally scheduled for the MGM Grand Garden Arena in Las Vegas, but had to be moved because of the coronavirus.
AEW’s plans after that aren’t known yet, but it’s probably safe to say that they will likely continue to do shows from Daily’s Place. Florida declared national sports programming as an “essential service,” opening the door for AEW and WWE to run shows in the state as long as it’s a closed set.
AEW’s last tapings in Georgia had a limited roster of wrestlers available. The upcoming May shows are expected to have many more wrestlers available and they will likely primarily be wrestlers who will be part of Double or Nothing, since the shows will be building up to the PPV.
