— WWE officials are hopeful that Skip Sheffield will be healthy enough to return to action by the post-WrestleMania television tapings. He has been sidelined since August due to a compound fracture of his ankle. As of this writing, they’ve got big plans for him but as always things can change in the blink of an eye.
— As noted earlier here on the website, Dragon Gate USA and Go Fight Live will present two live iPPVS this weekend. This Friday at 7pm EST will be “United: NYC” from Manhattan and this Saturday at 8pm EST will be “United: Philly” from South Philadelphia. Both will be shown on GoFightLive.tv. Both events will feature matches in the round robin tournament to determine the first Open The United Gate Champions and Open The Freedom Gate Champion BxB Hulk is set to defend the title on both shows, “This is the most important weekend in DGUSA history,” DGUSA VP Gabe Sapolsky said. “We are going to define exactly who we are on these events. The opportunity to broadcast the matches and happenings of this weekend live is huge. We will take full advantage of it.”
